Pratima Bhowmik, a senior Tripura BJP leader and Union minister of state for social justice and empowerment, has been assigned a new role by the BJP's national leadership. She has been appointed as the BJP's organization in charge of the party's quest to keep power in Manipur, a state that will hold assembly elections in a few months. J.P.Nadda, the BJP's national president, has appointed Pratima as the party's 'Assistant Election Pravari' for Manipur.

A notification was issued in this regard by BJP general secretary Arun Singh, who stated that Pratima Bhowmik will serve as 'Assistant Election Pravari' in Manipur for the next assembly elections.
