Achhe Din Gone as Election Season Ends: Petrol and Diesel Prices Rise Again After 5 Months, with Agartala Petrol Nearing 100!

With the Assembly Elections in five states completed and the BJP receiving favourable results, gas and diesel prices are once again on the rise. Petrol and gasoline prices rose on Tuesday. The price of petrol was Rs. 98.98, while the price of diesel was Rs. 86.36. "After 5 months, the rate has risen," remarked the proprietor of a gas station. Per gasoline, the price has risen by around 80 paisa. This is most likely due to the current conflict between Russia and Ukraine." Petrol and diesel prices were raised by 80 paise per litre on Tuesday, while domestic cooking gas rates were raised by Rs 50 per cylinder. Simultaneously, the price of a non-subsidised LPG cylinder in the national capital has been raised to Rs 949.50 for each 14.2-kg bottle.
